Catholic Charities serves the human needs of individuals and families throughout the six counties of the Diocese of Pittsburgh: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Lawrence, and Washington. We provide food for the hungry, housing for those who are homeless, free healthcare for those who cannot afford it, help for pregnant women and their unborn child, assistance for families with young children, care for the elderly, and so much more. We strive to increase emotional, physical, and economic stability in the lives of those we are privileged to serve. Our services aim to reduce the cycle of generational poverty, minimize the possibility of falling into poverty for a first time, and help those who are working but still struggling begin to become more economically stable. Our overall goal is to answer short-term need, but more importantly, partner with those in hardship to create long-term, self-sustaining solutions. By impacting and improving individual and family stability, we are strengthening the communities in which our clients live.
