What We Do
Our mission: inspired by the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam (healing the world), NCJW Pittsburgh promotes increased equity through the empowerment of women. Our current work focuses on economic equity, inclusive democracy, and reproductive justice.
Economic Equity: We are committed to advancing economic fairness and ensuring financial health and stability for all families, especially moms and caregivers.
Inclusive Democracy: We are dedicated to removing barriers to participation and amplifying underrepresented voices to build a more inclusive democracy.
Reproductive Justice: We are committed to ensuring every person’s dignity and freedom to make choices about their own body.
We do this through advocacy work, community partnerships and coalitions, programs, and through our store, Thriftique.
