Join Friends of the Riverfront for 2025’s sixth Train on the Trail session!

Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy‘s Naturalist Educator, Stephen Bucklin, will be leading us on a bird walk along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. Participants will learn to identify birds species and gain a understanding of the natural ecosystem surrounding our trail system. All levels are welcome, if you have binoculars please bring them, there will be some available to those who would like to borrow a pair.

The 2025 Train on the Trail series will offer enrichment opportunities for volunteers and trail users to gain introductory knowledge and skills that will benefit their trail experience, including native and invasive plants, watercraft safety, tree identification, and more!

An email will be sent the day before the event with details. Email Ashley Martin, Trail Stewardship Program Coordinator, with any questions at ashley@friendsoftheriverfront.org.
