Volunteer: Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk and Run for Their Lives 5KJoin us in making the Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk a fun, welcoming, and successful event for our bleeding disorders community! The walk will take place at the North Park Swimming Pool, located at 9901 South Ridge Drive, McCandless, PA 15044. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with a variety of roles before, during, and after the event. Whether you're helping with setup, registration, race support, photography, food service, or cleanup, your time and dedication will make a meaningful difference for our participants and their families. Volunteer shifts vary in length, so whether you have an hour or can stay for the morning, we'd love to have you on our team. Set up – Arrive at 6:00 am – 7:30 am - Help set up tables, chairs, and signage. Run Registration & Check-In – Arrive at 7:30am – 8:30 am – Help register onsite individuals and check-in already registered individuals. Food Pick-Ups – Generous businesses around Pittsburgh have donated food, snacks, and drinks to our event. We are in need of a volunteer to assist in picking up food items the morning of the walk in Wexford, Hampton, and Gibsonia. Food pick-ups are at 6-6:30 am. As we receive more donations, more locations may be added. You can reach out to Jessica to learn how you can help! Photographer – Arrive at 8:00am – 12:00 pm – Capture candid moments and important parts of the day. Must have own equipment and share all rights to photos after the event. 5K Race Water – Arrive at 8:00am – 11:00 am – Stand along the race route to direct runners and walkers and pass out water to the runners and walkers. Race Medals – Arrive at 8:15am – 10:00 am – Hand out race medals to runners as they cross the finish line. Chinese Auction & Food Table – Arrive at 8:30am – 11:00 am – Sell tickets for the Chinese auction. Help set up food table and make sure area is kept clean.
