ReImagine Food Systems in a volunteer-led program that builds gardens for people who want to grow food in their own yards. RiFS focuses our efforts in areas impacted by environmental and social inequity.
Hands-on gardening volunteers should be able to help on-site within the Turtle Creek Watershed, PA unless otherwise stated. Our planning meetings are held via zoom, so our planning volunteers are able to join from near and far.
PLANT SEEDS. This phase focuses on providing hands-on education for the owner of the backyard garden. Volunteers will work alongside a Master Gardener to help sow seeds and create trellises. Only a few volunteers are needed for this phase. This phase takes place in areas like NORTH VERSAILLES, NORTH BRADDOCK, TURTLE CREEK, and WILMERDING, PA.
*Marking multiple tentative time slots will allow flexibility in matching you with gardens. Not all time-slots will be used.
