Located in Pittsburgh, PA, the Bloomfield Saturday Market emphasizes locally grown, produced, and created items. You’ll find produce, cheese, meat, coffee, prepared hot and cold foods, community, and so much more! We are located at 5050 Liberty Ave (the parking lot between S. Winebiddle St. and Gross St.).
The market opens at 9AM and will be in full swing when you arrive. Please come to the Info Tent, which is located on the S. Winebiddle St. side of the lot, right off of Liberty Ave. When you arrive, we'll explain what you will need to know about the market, and what you can expect the day to look like.
Volunteer Tasks include:
- Greeting and counting people at each entrance/exit of the market
- Assisting market staff with credit card and EBT transactions
- Breaking down the tents, flags, tables, picnic tables, etc. at the end of market
- Picking up trash
- Helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and chill environment
We strive to make the Bloomfield Saturday Market a safe and welcoming space for everybody every single week. We really want our volunteers to feel safe and comfortable and have a good experience! Our volunteers also play a huge role in helping ensure that this environment is maintained, by interacting with everyone from attendees to vendor employees with kindness, honesty, and respect.
Volunteers are encouraged to take breaks during the day to experience the market, do some shopping, and/or eat some food.
