World Vision Pittsburgh

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, World Vision serves alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people. World Vision serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.

At World Vision Pittsburgh we are sorting, packaging, and labeling donations so they are ready for warehouse staff and to be sent out to the field. Once donations have been sorted, they are packed into appropriately labeled boxes and arranged in pallets based on their subcategories. This allows us to track donations and report back to corporations on where their products were shipped. This enables us to send each type of clothing where it is most needed and allows staff in the field to anticipate its arrival and effectively integrate the donations into their programming. We serve 31 countries world-wide.
