BOLD (Blind Outdoor Leisure Development) strives to include all persons in outdoor or leisure activities, regardless of vision ability.
What We Do
The Pittsburgh-based BOLD has grown to include social and outdoor recreational activities such as cross-country skiing, water skiing, ice skating, tandem biking, canoeing, rowing, and much more. Through partnering with other organizations, BOLD is able to make affordable a wide range of cultural and outdoor activities that otherwise wouldn’t be accessible to its visually impaired members. BOLD welcomes all persons 18 and older with all degrees of vision--blind, visually impaired, and sighted.
