Join Friends of the Riverfront for 2025’s second Train on the Trail Session!

Tree Pittsburgh will be leading an in-person training session where participants will learn how to properly prune trees including how to identify when it is needed, tools to use, technique, and more! Participants will then have the opportunity to put their new skills to the test and assist Friends of the Riverfront in tending to young trees along the Eliza Furnace segment of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail.

The 2025 Train on the Trail series will offer enrichment opportunities for volunteers and trail users to gain introductory knowledge and skills that will benefit their trail experience, including native and invasive plants, watercraft safety, tree identification, and more!

An email will be sent the day before the event with details. Email Ashley Martin, Trail Stewardship Program Coordinator, with any questions at ashley@friendsoftheriverfront.org.
