  • Purpose
    This position supports the regional Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) department. This opportunity requires participation in in-person activities and/or performing work in an American Red Cross facility. Manage the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) outreach program that provides recruits and their families with information to access the Hero Care Network services when faced with an emergency.
  • Responsibilities
    • Liaise on site with the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) staff to determine the best means for the American Red Cross to connect with the recruits and families.
    • Provide American Red Cross preparedness information to the recruits and their families.
    • Engage with the recruits to fill out family contact cards
    • Ensure cards are processed into the American Red Cross casework system
    • Provide additional support, as appropriate.
  • Time Commitment

    4 hours per day 9:00am - 1:00pm; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

    Required:

    • Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills
    • Enjoy working directly with others
    • Able to work with diverse populations
    • Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
