Purpose:
Help grow a strong and diverse volunteer team by connecting with local communities and sharing opportunities to serve with the American Red Cross.
Key Responsibilities:
- Canvass local businesses, churches, community centers, senior centers, and libraries.
- Distribute flyers and brochures to promote volunteer opportunities.
- Attend and support recruitment events and community outreach activities.
- Promote Red Cross volunteer roles at fairs, presentations, and open-call meetings.
- Work with the Volunteer Services team to identify recruitment needs and match volunteers to roles.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 2–4+ hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Passion for the Red Cross mission.
- Friendly and comfortable speaking with the public.
- Organized and reliable.
- Willing to follow public health and Red Cross guidelines.
Support & Training:
- Orientation to the American Red Cross.
- Volunteer Recruitment Training.
- Ongoing support from the Volunteer Services team.
