The Open Door is excited to join forces with Crafton School of the Arts to host a DRAMA CLUB! With an eye toward a Spring Musical, we have about 20 students ages 6-16 learning stage directions, basic acting skills, memorizing lines, and digging into all the wonderful things that come from the world of theater!
With a group this size, we are in need of a few more adults. This way we can split up into small groups and really concentrate on the learning experience for each participant. While we would prefer people who have a little experience on stage, it's more important that our volunteers are committed to helping students feel safe, loved, and free to express their ideas. If you're the kind of person who enjoys inspiring kids & teens to do more than they thought they could, then We Need YOU!
Ideally, volunteers can commit to every week, but if you're excited to be involved then you certainly can come according to your schedule - please try for at least one Tuesday a month to provide consistency for the kids and directors.
