The Lawrenceville Cookie tour is back for the 28th year and we are looking for some volunteers to help us run this fun holiday event! Businesses throughout the neighborhood of Lawrenceville offer homemade cookies to shoppers and visitors to promote our small business district. Lawrenceville Corporation is looking for volunteers to help the neighborhood get into the holiday spirit! We have three options for volunteers (listed below) so please reach out and let us know what you are interested in doing and when you are available!
*The event runs on Saturday, December 13th and Sunday, December 14th from 12-5pm, but you do not have to sign up for both days if your schedule does not allow for it.
1. Gift-wrapping - We will have 3 gift-wrapping stations set up along Butler Street for folks to bring items purchased that day from participating businesses to have them wrapped for free. Supplies will be provided as well as snacks and drinks. The timing for these is 12:30-4:30pm on Saturday 12/13 and Sunday 12/14
2. Costumed Characters - We will be purchasing some costumes for folks to wear while walking up and down Butler Street to engage with the visitors and shoppers, take photos, and answer questions they have about the event. We are thinking Santa, elves, reindeer, snowmen, Anna/Elsa from Frozen, gingerbread cookies, etc. Timing would be up to the people but would ideally like 2 hour shifts.
3. Event Assistance: We will need some folks to help us set up signs, assist in setting up the gift-wrapping stations, answering questions from visitors and shoppers, and overall helping our small team throughout the event. Will require an 11am start time and/or 5:30pm end time.
