What is the Allegheny Youth Vote Coalition?
The Allegheny Youth Vote Coalition, formed in 2023, is a nonpartisan group dedicated to engaging students in civic activities and promoting informed voting through education and dialogue with elected officials. Coalition members include: PA Youth Vote, NCJW Pittsburgh, The Civics Center, League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh, The Black Political Empowerment Project, Women and Girls Foundation, The Pittsburgh Chapter of The Links Inc., Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, Vote Riders.
What is the Allegheny Youth Vote Block Party?
The Allegheny Youth Vote Coalition is hosting an event to celebrate high school students casting their first vote during the Pennsylvania May primary.
All registered students in Allegheny County are invited to enjoy music, speakers, resource booths, food, and activities, with transportation provided for students from priority schools, culminating in early voting for the midterm primary.
