Join us on the Duck Hollow section of the Three Rivers Heritage & Water Trail for Trail Care Saturday! Friends of the Riverfront joins Allegheny CleanWays (ACW) for a day of volunteering on the Three Rivers Heritage & Water Trail. Volunteers will be split into two groups. Land based work will be lead by Friends including undesired vegetation removal, tree tending, litter pickup, and other trail maintenance needs. Water based work will be lead by ACW including collecting litter that has accumulated along the riverfront of the Monongahela River. Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in both land and water based work. Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and layered sleeves to be removed. We recommend that you bring a reusable water bottle, and a change of clothes and shoes for the ride home – participants may get wet/muddy.
